Like the topic sais. What should I do ? Ignore the pain ? Is it a sign that I'm giving my hand a good workout or maybe i'm overdoing it and should I give it a rest for a little while ? Thanks

It might be tedonitus or CTS. What are your practice habits? ie, how much do you play, how often, do you practice in time blocks or all at once?

I mostly do a 5 minute warm-up with chromatics, a paul gilbet warmup, running trough some scales. and then I practice for maybe 3-4hours straight (fast, slow, sweeps, taps, all the things i'm capable off) then I take a break of maybe an houre or so and start back to practice untill I get tired with it (depends, can be after 1h or maybe another 4h) but only at weekends I practice this much, at normal days I do all of the above without the break of 1h and another 1h-4h practice, but I take a little 20min break or so after practicing 2h and then start practicing again after another 2h.

Hope it's not tedonitus or CTS, but what if it is. Just stop playing for a while ? That's hell ! Anyway, thanks

Is the pain lingering or just as your playing? When do you feel it?

The pain only comes when I'm playing. And it's not sharp or anything it just feels... hard to describe, a bit cramped.

I have been dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome now for several years - do your hands ever go to sleep? either while you're playing or in the middle of the night? that's a sign of CTS. CTS is caused by repetetive motion - and your practice schedule definitely qualifies as repetitive motion! there's not much to be done about it (if you have CTS) short of surgery. i'm trying to avoid that, so I wear splints at night & try to stay away from repetetive movement as much as possible. one thing that helped me the most was to give up my mouse for this joystick kind of thing called the Rennaisance mouse; made by 3M. i also use a split keyboard, which helps too. so far i'm surviving without the surgery, and i have it pretty bad. you might want to go to a dr. & find out for sure if you have it, because if it gets worse, you are not gonna like it.
