Hey,

I've been trying to find a good comprehensive website that shows all the scales with the patterns along side with the formula for the scale.
Keep on coming across all this stuff like;
"best guitar scale to learn
best short scale guitar
best guitar scale length"
Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that displays scale information with the formulas.

Cheers mw

I don't know if it's any help or not, but GuitarTricks has a handy online-tool called the "Ultimate Scale Finder", which you can find at the top of any page, once you're logged in. This tool lets you see all variants of any scale with the different notes' positions on the fretboard.

As for a formula, I think Christopher Schlegel covers it in the Guitar Fundamentals II course.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks heaps for the information.
Guess I'll just have to write out the formulas from the patterns, not that hard... I'm just a lazy metaler hahaha.
I do get why most tutors don't teach in intervals, wish more did though.

Found this though; http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61jXXohMDnL._SL1204_.jpg

Looks full of tasty musical knowledge
