Finding My Way

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
O.K guys, I am going to try to articulate this question the best way I can so please bare with my ignorance. If I am playing an A minor pentatonic scale 5th fret, 5-8, 5-7, 5-7,5-7, 5-8, 5-8 and I slide down three frets that would put me at the A major pent. scale? O K so let's say I'm playing at the 7th fret 7-10,7-9,7-9,7-9,7-10,7-10... is this the B minor pent. scale and if I slid down 3 frets would that put me at the B maj. pent. scale? Hope I was clear enough on this question and if not sorry.

Thanks all,
Duck

P.S. If this theory is correct so that would mean that everywhere on the fret board falls under this rule

Hey Duck,

That was a very clear question and yes, you are correct! It's one of the best tricks you can learn when you're soloing. And yes, it works everywhere.

Have fun!
