What Effect is the guitar player using?
The song "Favorite Mistake" by Sheryl Crow has been requested for an upcoming gig and we have decided to play it. Does anyone know what effect he is using? I hear an echo and maybe some reverb but what makes that splat sound that he is doing in the intro. Any help is much appreciated. Have a good weekend.

I think the "splat" that you are referring to is him just hitting the strings with his picking hand. You get a more pronounced sound on an acoustic guitar doing this.
