New Picker

Hi, I'm new to the guitar, at least that's how I play. No songs, just a few notes. I'm just learning to play. The bad thing is ... I've picked the guitar up a few times since I first purchased my yamaha in 2000. I never have stuck with it long enough to learn much. What I learn, I usually forget by the next time I decide to start over again. I love music and dream of playing like my siblings and my father. Guitar comes hard for me, mostly from my lack of perserverance. I am determined to change this time! I think this online site will help to be a determining factor in m success. There is plenty to learn here and tons
of inspiration. Is there any of your family close for jam sessions..
Playing with others is a big help.
Where in Texas. In lived in east Texas area for a while. Tyler and Longview.
Take your time getting thru the starter finger tip pain.. Then go crazy..

Hey Gordon, I grew up in Daingerfield, 40 miles north of Longview. My mom still lives in Longview and I have a brother and sister in Mt. Pleasant. My father passed away in 2005. I have friends here that play guitar and will be a big help.
