I am writing a song but i am stuck on what key it is in. If i put a capo on the third fret. What key is it in?

Three frets (or one and a half steps) higher than the original key.

Essentially, this comes down to figuring out all the notes in all the chords you are using. Then, put them in order to figure out what major or minor scale they form (or are closest to). That is the key signature of a piece of music: the scale it is based upon!
