Do not get a strap with man-made leather..The wide part the design is printed .. It will separate and irritate your neck.. I had to put mine on backwards. It works fine that way..

Yeah those are no good at all. :D

Invest in a nice strap. It's just nice to have and comfortable to wear. Other than that, a case, some picks, and you are all set.

For brands, don't buy the cheapest, but until you already know the difference you are looking for, don't spend a lot either. (At least that's my philosophy.)
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.
