Hi there Fellow members and GT instructors

About two months ago a very good friend gave me one of his Guitar's as a thankyou for helping him out with some problems.

I have always been one of those people who has secretly wanted to learn how to play but was never really had the opportunity or the cash to get a Guitar (the joys of paying a mortgage) and being gifted a Guitar seems like a sign that now is the time to see if I have what it takes.

So here I am a completely novice learner (who already has sore and numb fingertips on his left hand).

I am greatly looking forward to following the introductory lessons, though I am already thinking I will have to repeat the these quite a few times till I get it second nature :)

So here’s to new ventures.

Grand regards to you all

Andy

Welcome, Andy!

How is it going so far?

Don't know if you've seen this yet, but this tutorial might give you some ideas on how to think about going about learning all that brand new stuff you are trying to get your hands to learn to do.

Cheers Gordon, everyone seams to be very friendly indead, and i have enjoyed reading some of the forum threads.

Hi Lisa, I just took a gander at your introdction video for MAP and it is definetly something i will be going into more, I am a complete newbie so all hints and tips are ery much apreciated! I also have to admit that when i first signed up to GT it was the "Acoustic Fingerpicking Beginner" that prity much sold me on becoming a full member!

Welcome to GT Andy!

I'm sure you'll get a lot out of our beginner lessons and I really hope you stick around long enough to enjoy our more advanced material! :)
