Would someone care to explain double stops and there usr in modern music....

double stops are two notes played at the same time, they kinda give you a little taste of a whole chord while playing used a lot in blues and country(really all types of music), check out the original tricks they have some double stop tricks in there

I was so pissed off when I found out a doublestop was just two notes at the same time... I was expecting some cool, fancy thing, and then it turned out to be something I figured out the day I picked up my guitar. A double-stop bend almost always sounds great in blues soloing. It adds a bit of flavor to your phrasing.
