Hey
Do you use the gain on the amp as well as the Mt2?
Try this just to get you started:
(just the amp..)
Drive: 1 o'clock
Mid: 9 o'clock
Bass: 3 o'clock
Treble: 12 o'clock
and use the heavy setting (the red setting)
Hope that's helpful!?

Try just using the gain and the settings on the Metal sound
THEN
add a LITTLE extra juice from the pedal...you don't want to over do it or you won't get as much clarity.
Live they just use Peavey 6505 amps with no extra gain in front of it.
I reckon with a bit of tweaking you can get the sound you're after just from playing with the amp settings :)
