Hey
Do you use the gain on the amp as well as the Mt2?
Try this just to get you started:

(just the amp..)

Drive: 1 o'clock
Mid: 9 o'clock
Bass: 3 o'clock
Treble: 12 o'clock

and use the heavy setting (the red setting)
