Why no video control?

Well, I just got the free membership and am fairly impressed with what I am seeing. However, one thing that would be helpful in making people like me who are considering going full access a lot more convinced is--options for playback and rewind and forward in the video lessons! Nothing like having to watch a vid two, three, or four times to go over content.

Thanks

Hmm, that's strange, there should be plenty of video control. You should be able to click anywhere in the timeline and go directly there.

Maybe there's something wrong with your browser settings, or the flash plugin? There is even an AB loop function, where you can pick a certain part of a video (like a 4 second lick) and it will loop just that over and over again.

Let us know if you're still having problems.

Well, thanks for getting back quickly. I just checked again and its still the same. When I click on one of the free lessons (holding pick, finger picking so far) the only option in the player is the red play/pause button in the center bottom of the screen.

As far as video compatibility with my computer, I have the latest Flash player and can open and play just about anything on the web, minus quick time apps/vids. What video codec/player does this site use to host video?

Also, I was thinking it might be linked to the fact that I only have the free account. Can you try opening a free account and messing with the video a bit? Anyhow the features you are descibing sound great--love to see them in action!

When you enter a full access or free lesson the result should be the same. There are a lot of smart keys.

You will have to go on FULL VIEW to benefit from it. For example go to this link/free Guitartricks lesson: http://www.guitartricks.com/freelesson.php?input=YzE2ajhuazA0NQ==

The functions for controlling the video are:

Space to pause / unpause
A: Start the beginning of a loop
B: End the loop
1: Go Fullscreen
2: Normal screen
R: Repeat
UP/DOWN Arrows: Control Audio volume.

Hope that clears things up. You can use your mouse to jump anywhere in the video, but it would be useful indeed if that would be possible with extra buttons, but I don't know if that would be convenient since some videos aren't even 5 minutes long.

Anyway if you would like to some more lessons, who are accessible to anyway visite the Guitartricks Channel: http://www.guitartricks.com/channel.php

I attached an image of how the player should look, both with a free account and full access. Do the controls in the red bar at the bottom not show up? Have you tried using another browser? I have tried Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome and they all work fine.

The videos are in .flv format, either as a true flash video or as an h.264 video.
