He is trying to break a Guiness World Record for giving the largest live online guitar lesson. Thought I would share since I plan on attending. I mean it's not every day you get to take a lesson with Steve Vai...
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

Not sure. All I could find was a link to submit a couple questions and maybe they'd get picked.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

I'm willing to blow off a day of work for that - really :) Anyone have any ideas on what questions they would ask him? I would see if he could demonstrate some thing on synthetics scales and how to implement them. That would be cool.

The question I most want to know, and one I submitted, is how do you stay focused during an extremely long practice session (anything over 4 hours)?

We've also got a Steve Vai interview coming up soon from the NAMM show, it should be fun!

I went on Friday and Saturday to NAMM so I saw Vai on Sat. Was kinda sad because he was signing at the same time as Paul Gilbert and everyone was over at Vai's booth while Gilbert was all alone :(

Edit: Just watched the video. It was alright. Wouldn't call it a "guitar lesson" so much as "Steve's words of wisdom". Lot of good info in there for beginners. Even a lot for advanced players that forget about the basics. It's pretty much aimed to tell people how to practice correctly and not fall into bad habits. More of a directional approach to how to end up being the guitarist you want. Instead of just showing you some licks/riffs and how to play fast like typical lessons.

woops....hit quote instead of edit
