Hey everyone!

Hey everyone! :) I'm a girl from Bulgaria, and I'm 15 years old.. I joined here, because I'm new to playing the guitar.. I wanted to go to guitar lessons, but they say that in my town, there aren't any good teachers - and that there's no improvement if you visit those lessons.
Right now, I think I am a real "beginner". All I know is a few chords , like: Am, A, G, C, F, B, Bm, D, Dm, F.. And yeah I think that's all :D I can also play the beginings of a few songs like "The bards song" by Blind Guardian.
My favourite type of music is heavy metal/power metal/speed metal.
I really want to improve, there's a guy who plays the guitar excellent and he laughs at my tries to play (in fact - he hasn't even heard me , but he says he doesn't wanna hear me) , and says that "girls with guitars" do not look right/good or w/e .. I totally disagree.. I really want to prove him, and everyone else wrong and learn to play the guitar really good. I think I have the passion for playing the guitar, so yeah..I hope I learn someday..

my daughter is 14 and just starting too, guitar tricks is a better sight than most out there and it looks like you will get a lot of support! If you truly want to be impressed by a woman playing an instrument:

Emily Bear (something like that)

that girl played better at the age of 5 then most proff. piano players.
Truly unbelievable too watch and heart warming that our era also got it's own Beethoven.

Was she on the Ellen show? If so, I think I've seen her, wonder kid!

By the way, hi Monica, and welcome! I'd love to see more young girls pick up the guitar, especially to play rock and metal, there way too few. I'm trying to get my youngest sister to play (she's 15 too) and I hope she will!
