Didn't we have that in a contest a while ago? I remember something similar to that.

That's the Prophecy... I was looking at them, but there was something I didn't like. I'll see if I can remember and rain on your parade. ;)
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

I can feel the love... :p

Actually it wasn't a bad thing. Just that they had active pick ups. I have never had active pick ups, but the thought of frigging around with batteries really turns me off. The accompanying purchase with any pedal I get is an adapter, too.

Otherwise, I was drooling over these myself. Real sweet looking guitars. I wonder why the LP version of the Prophecy is &150 more then the SG version?

This particular version does not have active pups. The other version, does though. At least I don't think the "dirty fingers" are active pups.

I think you are right; the Dirty Fingers are passive. Cool, now the Prophecy is back on my GAS list. :)

Those pups look pretty sweet. Great reviews on MF.

So, I went to a local guitar store today because they had it in stock. What a nice guitar. Nice thin neck, solid feel, great tone. What a sweet playing guitar.

I didn't want it to be. I wanted it to be a heap of junk, but it's not. It's everything I had hoped and more.

I hear ya. There was an SG model for $400 on the local boards. I have sworn off (well I am trying to swear it off!) purchasing more guitars until I have purchased a LP Standard. If I was to break, the Prophecy is right at the top of the list.

I think you should go for it.

Idiot me was going to head over to the guitar shop and put a downpayment on it for a layaway plan. However, I up and left my wallet at home.

There is ONE flaw on the guitar though... And was told that most guitars that have the gold trim suffer from this. The gold looks like it was wearing off the hardware already. That was a turn off. It's the color of the guitar and the gold trim that really caught my eye. Having said that, I was told that Tone Pros has hardware that has better gold plated trim. So, I may look into those as options for upgrades.
