I have noticed that some people have their locations in their heading when they post. Anyone know how to put it there???

When viewing the Forum, there is an Account link above the threads by the FAQ & Calendar links. (NOT the Account link at the very top of the page.) The option is in there.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

Well its nice to know that I am not the only one at this side of the Atlantic.

What do you think of the songs that are available to learn?

I am a bit disapointed - was expecting more.

Lessons seem good though

I've been faffing on and off for about 8 months or so, using a book and getting tabs online. My old housemate, who was having lessons, was picking it up far more than me, and this is a lot cheaper than having private tuition IRL (especially with the exchange rate). I found some of the tabs a lot more complicated than I could realistically cope with, and I think this put me off a bit.

My hopes are that starting from scratch using the video tuition will improve both my musical theory and my technique; hopefully, this'll mean I can then cope with more of the tabs I can find for free elsewhere.

The song list isn't massive, and there isn't much on it that I'm a huge fan of, but there's a large variety of guitar styles on there, and I assume that's the point - learn a technique or two from learning to play a whole song rather than dry, dull lessons, and then transfer what your fingers have learnt to other stuff...

They're also adding songs all the time (according to what I've read on here), although they aren't taking requests at the moment, so looks like I'll have to cross my fingers and hope for a Nothing Else Matters lesson...

Father Christmas brought me an accoustic guitar and I'm delighted to have found this site to help me learn the instrument. As an older member I hope I'm not too old to learn. Denis - Staffordshire

Well that's amazing we're that close together! Have you just moved from Ingleby Arncliffe to Northallerton? Or did you mean you've moved TO Ingleby Arncliffe. Either way it's good to hear from you!

At the rate we're going here, someone will be suggesting a British Guitar Trickster Convention!
