I tried it on multiple computers in different browsers and still does not work. Can anyone from GuitarTricks please fix this? I have even downloaded the video and when I play it, it also stops partway through. I think there is something wrong with your videos files folks! BTW, I'm a paid member to this service.
Video lessons keep stopping abruptly!
Hey GuitarTricks tech folks, today I noticed the video lessons keep quitting about a quarter of the way through. It's frustrating! Try the lesson "2: Use of Blues Scale in Performance Context: Example 2 " It would quit abruptly. In fact most of the lessons (if not all) in this course behave like this.

Hi dexdauz..
I am playing the 3rd example of "Use of Blues Scale in Performance Context"
as I type.. Examples 1 and 2 loaded and played fine.
It sounds like your internet doesn't run fast enough.. I'm no computer guru so it's a total guess.
If you watch the down loading and play graphic at the base of your lesson screen you can see if the down load stops and the playing bar catches up with it..
Example 3 played completely as I double tasked typing this info..
Maybe some computer guru will chatch this post and shed some more light on the problem..
good luck and keep picking..

No it actually downloads the entire thing (it goes to 100%) just fine. It's when its already playing that it abruptly just ends (freezes for a few seconds and then it stops).

Every once in a while some one has this complaint, but the real problem turns out to be that they don't notice that each tutorial in the lesson has several videos. You need to hit the "next" button thru each section, not just click the titles on the right hand navigation.
Could that be the case here?

Thanks for the idea but that's not the case. I'm pretty familiar with the user interface. I know that clicking on a lesson just brings you to the first lesson. The next and previous buttons allows access to the rest of the tutorials in that particular lesson "group". I've been using the site everyday with no problems. I find it hard that nobody else is seeing this.

Wil you give me the url you got the file from and tell me at what MM:SS it ends?
I will check it out here.

Here's one: "Additional Techniques in Blues Soloing Lesson 2: Using a Capo "
- stops abruptly at 1:02
THis one: "Use of Minor Scale in a Blues Context: Example 3"
- stops at 0:33
There are many more but the two above I've been trying to finish the past couple of days.
thanks for looking into this.

Sorry you are having troubles with the site.
All 3:06 loads and plays for me. Both Lo-res & Hi-res versions.

Thanks Christopher for testing it.
dexdauz,
Files are sent to you from a caching server near where you are. It could be that your local server is having trouble and the other ones are fine (so it basically only affects you, and happens on multiple computers).
If you PM me your IP address, I will report it to the server people and see if they have anything to tell us.

My guess is it might be an Adobe Flash issue. I tried loading the guitar trick videos using both my Mac (using Safari and Firefox) as well as on my Windows XP using IE and the problem happens in all of them. Just curios, what version of Adobe Flash are you guys using where it worked? Mine is the latest version 10.0.42.34.
I uninstalled and reinstalled it already but still to the problem won't go away. What's your Flash version and what browser (and version please) do you guys use? It's a very recent version from Adobe. My guess is once people start getting this update you might begin seeing a flood of customer service issues like mine.
thanks

I just watched one of the videos listed above without issue.
Hope that helps.
