I've never played one but I have a USA Strat and I love it, it probably plays great.

A Strat works really well for blues. I recommend closing your eyes when you audition gear. Nobody, and I mean nobody can hear a nameplate. If you try out a signature guitar, and it feels and sounds like it wants to come home with you, good.
Just be sure that you haven't walked right past another guitar that sounds and feels just as good, without the extra cost for the name.
