Actually, I can't really blame the Stealers, I do put a lot of blame on the officiating of that superbowl. There were some horrendous calls made that game. Very ticky tacky. I have friends who are die hard Rams fans who loath the Seahawks yet strongly advocate that the officiating cost the Seahawks that superbowl.

Yeah, how dare those officials throw flags for penalties!! I'm just giving you a hard time. I do disagree but its been so long I can't even remember the plays that you are talking about. Too long ago for me to discuss it with any sincerity.

I am a long-time Steeler fan but born and raised in NC. So I am somewhat torn but would love to see a Panther/Steelers SB. If such a game happens I will probably be a Panther fan as long as Pitt still has one more trophy than whoever is second.

Ha, yeah I know. It has been several years now. I'm actually over it now, I just like to ruffle feathers now and then over that game.

You're right - there were some questionable calls in that game but since my boys won, I ain't complainin' :D

Nothing wrong with a little good natured smack talk and ribbing when it comes to football.

Heck, if the Steelers hadn't been in that game, I would have been rooting for the Seahawks.

It all kicks off next week. Woo hoo. Can't wait.

Have you ever been to any of the ESPN forums? Oh man... It's down right ugly. I love good natured smack talk as well, but that place is just down right rediculous and offensive. Maybe the have cleaned it up, who knows, been a while since I've been there.

I try to avoid sports talk forums. Too many maniacs. I prefer the more cererbral guitar players. Well, most of 'em anyway, hehehe..

AP is a great explosive runner. Too bad that the Vikes (I was a big fan back in the days of the Purple People Eaters, Chuck Forman, Sammy White, Fran Tark) haven't had a QB to complement Peterson and make him even better.

Expect to be disappointed as Favre throws 3 times as many INTs as Peterson scores TDs. I'm shocked that the Vikes didn't bring in Vick. Vick and AP in the same backfield... that's scary.

(and for all those that are going to toss me flack about Vick... I love animals and am a pet owner... Vick did the crime, he did the time. You cannot prevent him from earning a living. If you're afraid of your kids looking up Vick as a roll model, that's your failing not Vick's. He's a football player, not a roll model.)

Hey look at that. I miss the entire 3rd quarter and part of the 4th, they are up 28-0. I'm not going to boast to loudly though. The Rams need a lot of work.

Sloppy?!,, wait until you see the Eagles highlight package from the Eagles/Panthers game. Delhomme picked up right where it left off in the playoffs. The first drive was VERY nice but then the wheels fell off.

Well, it's the start of the season, all teams still have some work to do..

This is going to be a dismal season... :(
