Beginner here, who bought a guitar that doesn't have a neck strap pin. Actually, 90% of them don't for some reason.

Asked for a kit at Guitar Center and they said they don't sell them, but conveniently gave me name of a girl that can install one for me for $10 or $15. If she can get one, where can I get one? I'm probably a equally or more handy with a drill and could install myself.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I got this instead of drilling. Works fine for me.

Hi,
You can also get a quick disconnect made by Planet Waves from Guitar Center stores or on-line. It is 3.99 and one end attaches to the headstock and the other to your guitar strap. Most acoustics are easier to play and balance when attached by the headstock. There is a disconnect button in the middle for taking off your strap. If you really want a strap pin, you can just use a screwdriver to attach it without drilling a hole 1st. Just get a small size pin set, about $2-$3.

This may be too low tech, but at one time I had an old shoelace tied through the eyelet at the end of the strap and then around the headstock.
