Best Punk pedal
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on the best pedal for a punk sound. I currently use a BOSS Overdrive pedal (the yellow one)...

DS-1 by Boss would be my choice. The guy from U.K. Subs uses Metal Zone combined with other Boss effects, but if you're into real punk, you need something much crappier. Try some cheap distortion pedals, or have an electronically literate friend make one for you ( or DIY, for the maximum crappiness factor).

The problem I am having I think lies not in my pedal, but probably my amp. I use a little old bass amp (bass IS my instrument after all) to play guitar through and when it distorts after being cranked up, its just too low, so I think my best option is a decent amp...
