I am a 13 year old girl who loves to play the guitar. I adore all kinds of music from jazz, to metal, to avant garde, to bubblegum pop, to blues. As long as it sounds good I'll like it! My favourite band is The Beatles,. My guitar heroes are Jimi Hendrix and Tom Morello. I write alot of songs and hope someday I can become great. I love to do bluesy little solos. :)

I absolutely despise the Beatles, and I think Morello plays terrible lead (except on "Killing in the name" which is the only good solo he ever came up with and then recycled for just about every other song he ever wrote).

But to each his own, and welcome to Guitar Tricks. Good luck with your playing.

The Beatles are awesome, and I enjoy listening to lots of different kinds of music also. Just want to say hi and introduce myself. Been playing guitar for 17yrs. Started off learning piano, then clarinet and tried saxophone. I'm in Houston, TX, but thinking about moving back to Austin soon.

The Beatles influenced a lot of people, we've played some of their songs that were requested at shows over the years. We used to do a bluegrass version of "Last train to Clarksville". We actually covered some other rock n roll material too, some Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, and others too.

Didn't mean to ramble on, welcome to the site.
