I'm not preaching...or trying to sound self-righteous...I've got plenty of my own biases and issues with the world. LOL

But...
Being seen as an equal...not inferior...not a subordinate...not being looked down upon...is one of the basest of human desires. Be it a person, town, city, county, state, country, sex, race or religion....no one wants to be thought of as less than equal.
Beyond any and all religious/political/economic/goegraphical reasons for conflict on all levels around the world....being held down, looked down upon, being seen as less than equal....is probably THE biggest motivator towards conflict of any kind, when you really break it down to the core issues.

Light a stick on fire on both ends & hold one end down lower than the other...which end burns hotter & faster?

Cheesy metaphor I know....But human nature works in pretty much the same exact manner.
