In the link "Breaking out of Pentatonic Jail," the first lesson http://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=10136, I am pulling what's left of my hair out to figure out the arpeggios. I know the first one is DbMajor7, the second one is E9 (I think), the third one starts on the Eb on the 11th fret, and then after that I'm lost. The video goes so quickly and I'm wearing out the keys on my laptop trying to stop and go back and forth. Can anyone tell me what the arpeggios are in order and then I can figure out the fingering and notes on my own?

I would REALLY appreciate the help.

Thanks.

This lesson is exactly what I was looking for. Reminds me of Jeff Beck's Blow by Blow. But I'm right where you are - frustrated and a little lost. I can't believe there's nothing more on this after 10 months and no one else is complaining. Very Disappointing. How about slowing it down a little and make a real lesson out of it - with tabs including the backing?

Why not ask the instructor that made the lesson?! That would be Ron Sayer. :)

Hi Guys

Apologies, I've only just happened across this thread!

Also apologies for having done no amendments on this lesson :( as you can probably tell from looking at it it was one of my first filming attempts.

I will endeavour to update this and the other lessons this month.

In answer to your question, both the arpeggios are the same (i.e. a Db Maj7 arpeggio) but in 2 different places (E root and A root). As far as working out the notes of the arpeggio, they're written below the video.

If anyone has any suggestions on what they'd like to see in the updated tutorial (in addition to Tommy57's suggestions) I'd be very interested.

Also, you might not be aware but there is a special feature built in to the GuitarTricks flash player. It's the A->B Repeat function, which allows you to select a particular section of the video and repeat it over and over again without hitting any keys. That means you can keep your guitar and pick in hand while you study the same bit over and over again without interruption.

Not sure if the images are turned on here.. but basically you have two little arrow sliders that you can move the position the A (starting point) and B (repeating point), and also a repeat button to turn the repeating on and off.

Nope.. no images.. but you can click the link to see it instead.
