Nut fret
I know this is an old question but why do I like Nut-fretted guitars better than non nut-fretted ones. I wonder what the technical difference is. Theres lots of guesses but so far no concrete answers!

I've always wondered why some guitars have the fret nut also...My guess would have to be that it has something to do with tuning stablility.
It could also make bends easier on the first fret since the strings could slide along the nut fret instead of bending where the strings lies on the nut..
