Hi all Im a guitar teacher, Im not sure why
the question never came to me earlier...

Is there any forum around devoted to the
purpose of guitar teachers trading thoughts
and ideas with one another?

I couldnt find anything on ultimate guitar
and I dont see any forum sub headings here
that suggests guitar tricks has this...

Well.. all of the 30 or so instructors are guitar teachers, most are doubling as guitar teachers in their own right.
Every teacher here has numerous years of teaching experience and our main objective is to teach you guitar without having to resort to live instructors.

With the videos we give, the mP3's, the diagrams and complete explanations you should be totally covered where it comes to learning guitar.
Not to mention the Video lessons and personal help available on request.

Try taking some of the basic beginner lesson to get a feel for the site, and then move up to the accomplished guitar players l

i too have been baffled by the lack of community there is for guitar teachers. isn't that odd there aren't forums or something? i don't know. all i can say is that i've looked and i haven't found a site with strong organizational community that focuses on teacher-to-teacher review and guidance.

hah kevin, it is a tad bit insulting to tell a (probably) seasoned guitar teacher to check out the beginner lessons. kindof like telling your high school english teacher to redo 3rd grade :p

I would be willing to bet that it was a simple matter of his mis-reading the post as opposed to any intent on insulting someone. It happens folks. Let's not make trouble where none exists.

As far as a lack of teacher to teacher forums, make the suggestion to those in-charge. I'm sure they'll be happy to review the thought.
