I don't think they ever really hated the US though. The hatred of the campesinos was more directed at the upper classes of Cuba who exploited them through their system of fuedalism. (the poor got to live and work on the land, but the rich owned the land and took the profits)

About the health care - just remember, when people want world-class care they don't go to Cuba. They come to the US!

AH the sweet smell of capatilism... The reason is that the US is a capatilsit society with quite a big divde compared to here (the UK), so you'll get fantastic health care for those who can afford it (or the Insurance), but the poor get the "dr Nick Revairas" (from the simpsons).... Right, I'm hopefully gonna be a doctor 5 years down the line from now, and I've been looking into some of the paths, and the highest pay a consultant gets here in britain is about £60,000 per anum, and some more working privatly (they can reach a total of £120,000 per anum), but in the US they can get a whopping $ half a million just working privately!!!! ... so my point is it's good health system if your rich...

Actually, we have this wonderful thing called Medicare, payed for by taxpayers, so the poor can have access to the best doctors, surgeons, and specialists. Any little ache and pain and they're off to the doctor!

So you're going to be a doctor over in the UK? Remind me to never get sick over there . . . Just kidding.

The USA society is a capitalistic one BUT
remember when there are 10 guys around, its better that 4-5 of them will be rich, 3 will be ok, and the rest will be poor, than in the good old ussr way when only the one guy is rich the others are starving, and you blame the evil people outside your society.

oh I know about medicare, but I'm still not too convinced...
I've not decided what kinda doctor I'll be, maybe Caradiologist, they always get sweets from their pateints...

Yeah, I'm not convinced either. Because it's the hard-working middle class, those who don't have enough money to pay for their own health care and who aren't poor enough to qualify for Medicare, that get screwed.

They're the ones who end up going to "Dr. Nick Revairas".

You can usually add "too proud" to that list as well.

Come on guys now if your going to talk about,
healh care let's get are facts right plus you,
might want to look up (MEDIACADE) thats more for,
people like your disabled people or poor plus it pays more,
than medicare!
Also Medicare can be used along with Medicade.
Now you should find that medicare is paid by the gov.
And Medicade is paid by the states.
Plus there are a few other programs like (Hud) that will,
help them pay thier rent on thier apartments.
Look them up?

I think the Doctors get more $$$$$$ from Medicade.
You meet alot of people in show biz when you,
go out in the crowd on breaks and mingle plus learn,
a lot about thier stuggles in life vets ect.
