AH the sweet smell of capatilism... The reason is that the US is a capatilsit society with quite a big divde compared to here (the UK), so you'll get fantastic health care for those who can afford it (or the Insurance), but the poor get the "dr Nick Revairas" (from the simpsons).... Right, I'm hopefully gonna be a doctor 5 years down the line from now, and I've been looking into some of the paths, and the highest pay a consultant gets here in britain is about £60,000 per anum, and some more working privatly (they can reach a total of £120,000 per anum), but in the US they can get a whopping $ half a million just working privately!!!! ... so my point is it's good health system if your rich...
