Guitar instrumental sketch i'm working on
Still a work in progress, but i'm trying to combine elements of trip-hop,a dash of techno and a bit of metal with soloing over the top. It's actually 3.00 minutes but youtube accidentally posted it for six.Disregard the other 3 minutes it's a duplicate.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22RBkcZBcHg

Hi
I had a little listen and I am impressed by the technical skills that you have on the guitar however I feel that the track is a little too rigid. It follows the rules to strictly kinda thing.. I don't "feel" anything when I hear it.. uhm.. I'm trying to describe my thoughts clearly but it's so subjective to my perception that it's difficult to put into words. It was too technical may be.. too robotic.. but then.. may be that is the point. Like Nine Inch Nails is the first group to really impress me in the industrial scene and that definitely has robotic, technical, apathetic-themed sounds too.. So it's not a bad thing by any means.. just that I don't really like it as a whole.
EDIT: Hehe.. you can't like everything I suppose. :)

this song grabbed my attention from the get go. WOW! Wicked groove! I listened to it...all 6 minutes....thanks to Youtube, i don't have to click half as many times to listen again....and again...and again... :D
you have very good taste in choosing your sound/tone.
Do you play a Chrome-colored Ibanez? ;)
OK, I have 1 'complaint' . Please post the MP3 version on some music site...it's a waste to hear it in just plain mono.

Thanks man.Hehe...no ibanez here.Actually my rig is pretty simple just a fender stratocaster, through a crybaby wah(used as a wah and filter at times)through a line 6 amp with the gain(distortion) turned turned all the way on 10.

definitely not my style of music by any means, but you sound very talented. i'd like to hear you play with a faster backing track
