Love the nice 'mid-ish' gtr tone! wow!

My fav song is Savior.

For some reason, hearing you guys reminds me of Soundgarden.

Great stuff!

It's the "clutch" tone on Savior we were going for...thinking more Audioslave.

I use Mesa Boogie amps on distortion and Marshall on Clean.

Hey dude, great stuff. I gotta support the Christian rock scene. I added you and I'll probably nab some songs off iTunes as well. Good luck...

A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.

1 It is good to praise the LORD
and make music to your name, O Most High,
2 to proclaim your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.
4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD;
I sing for joy at the works of your hands.[/FONT]

Wow, good stuff. The recordings are pretty professional, I like the vocals quite a bit, and all-around it's definitely my type of music. Great riffs, great sound, I like it a lot.

Great stuff! :)

I like the first track on there the most, the one titled "Cry". It has a style very similar to another band called Incubus. I particularly like the sound-effect hook right at the start at the time index 0:11. My only critique about the songs would be the singer. Not that he is a bad singer but he sounds so "samey".. reminds me of Nirvana's singer.. not that it is a bad thing.. I just hear that same style of singing in so many metal songs that it just sounds a little the same as everything else. Not sure how that can be rectified.. I think the singing style does definitely fit the music.. but yeh.. I was hoping for something a little unique in that department. At certain points in the songs you can hear the singers personality coming out a little but then he reverts back to the tired Nirvana, crooning sound.

Wow what a great critique. It's great to hear refreshing reviews from peers.
There is a lot that we would change with more money and more time, but overall we are very happy with the results.

Yeah "Cry" is definitely one of my favorites but we are starting to get more attention and radio play from "Pray". Whatever it's exposure right?

Have only had a chance to listen to Cry so far. But man it reminds me of Alter Bridge! I have really been listening to a bunch of Alter Bridge lately. Tremonti uses Drop D almost exclusively though on One Day Remains CD. I am not sure about the new CD Blackbird have not listened to it much yet. But anyway your stuff Rocks Great sound and a really nice Mix! You guys are not far away. I am in Central Missouri so if you play any gigs down around Springfield or KC put the word out I could probably guarantee a carload of people at the show. :)

Yeah quite a bit of "creed" influence here. Actually I use Drop C, it gives it the nice fat midrange tone.

Nothing in the works for KC or Missouri right now but always looking. Thanks for the comments

Thanks for letting me know that I was hearing it right. I thought it sounded like you were playing in a drop tuning. I have never tried to play in Drop D until listening to Mark Tremonti with Alter Bridge. Some cool Stuff. I might have to give Drop C a try. I have only heard groups like Killswitch Engage using Drop C but now that I hear your sound with that tuning it is something that is definitely worth pursuing. Once again Good stuff. I am definitely a fan!

Drop tuning is not hard but you have to re-learn certain methods. I've never been a tab fan so I usually create or learn on the fly that way it's more my style then simply copying someone elses.

Just remember that if you are going to drop C you will need heavier gauge strings or it will be "floppy". Your action and intenation will need to be adjusted as well. As for guage of strings, every guitar is different and you will have to find what works with yours. If you are doing drop D there is really very little if any adjustment you will need......hopefully.

Just useful info thought might save you some time.

Peace

Great quality recording, love the guitar tones - nice and heavy. Have some Boogie gear myself, can't be beaten for real heavy rhythm. Vocals are great too, cool stuff.
