I have just posted a video of me playing Sweet Child O' Mine on Youtube. Don't make fun of it even though it sucks... :). My gear is:

Epiphone Les Paul Standard Heritage Cherry Sunburst (no modifications)
Marshall MG15MSZW limited edition amp
Ipod...
Peavy 25 foot cable.

You got the notes down it seems. You certainly don't suck, but I would just suggest you put more feeling into it...more emphasis/control on vibrato, targeting the bent notes, pick attack, those sorta things. Just play it like you mean it. Overall it came off as a bit timid in my opinion, though it looks and sounds like a fairly challenging song. Regardless, I think you did a good job and I gave you rep for putting it up.
Then again, I don't really even care for this song to begin with (so obviously I don't play it), so what do I know?

Oh yeah...where's the on the knees vertical guitar solo? ;)

Lol, thanks. I was going to do one where I played it like Slash and all that, but I thought it would look pretty dumb, plus I would mess up my playing. It's hard to judge if someone puts feeling into it unless you can see their face.

Good stuff!! Keep playing!! I have not been brave enough to post anything on You Tube because you get so much flack from people who think they know everything. And some people on You Tube just love to talk crap! But I thought it was pretty cool. Its hard to be very critical because the way you recorded it over the original etc makes it hard to hear the small details. But you seem to have it pretty well in the bag.
By the way. Do not get depressed if you do not see many more responses to your post. You will get lots of views but very few responses. Thats been my Experience anyway. I always try to respond since I figure its only right if I am going to post and expect someone else to comment.
Keep Rocking!

It was good overall. There were 2 main issues that I saw. (1) Try to tune the guitar to the track. The tuning was less than stellar. (2) Practice using your pinkie on your fretting hand. I didn't see you use it even once. Humans were given pinkies for a reason! Otherwise, just keep practicing...you're pretty darn close to nailing it!

I agree with both homebrew and Rustee. You need to work on your vibrato, bends, and the use of your pinky. Other than that, great job and keep up the good work.

Well, I knew about the pinky part. It's just muscle memory on that song not to use my pinkie. I usually use it more. I don't know how to go about practicing vibratto and bends... maybe just play the song alot.. And the tuning thing, I'm too lazy to turn the amp on the clean channel and get it perfect to the song, I just put that video together in like 10 minutes.

To practice vibrato and bends simply keep doing them. The best way I find to practice bends, and the most fun IMO, is to hit a note on the low E string, then take a note high up on the neck and bend it up a full step to the note I hit on the low E. For instance, hitting the open E string, then bending the 15th fret on the second string up a full step so it matches the low E. When you do this, don't let the low notes ring out when you play the high notes, it just sounds messy, simply mute the string with your palm when you go to pluck the 15th fret. Also, adding vibrato on top of this makes it so much sweeter. Use the open E as a guide, if your not matching it with the bent 15, then your not bending enough or your bending too much.

So give that a go and try it with different notes, though you might have to do a small slide into the higher frets to make a good transition.
