I have a set of dunlop original straploks on my nice leather strap, one problem, I can't put the straploks on my guitar without drilling the hole deeper, which I really don't wanna do. What I want to do is take the locking buttons off my strap, but I CAN'T!!!! I had my local music shop install the straplocks on one of my older guitars, so I have no idea how they are installed, therefore I have no idea how to get them off. If ANYONE knows how to get the locking buttons off of my strap please tell me.

B.t.w I have tried about everything i could think of, from turning them for ten minutes straight, to trying to pry them off.

Please help,
thanks.

I don't know what they are really called, but I bet they have those little "slip washer" type things. Looks like 3/4 of a washer that slides across the pin to secure it. Not sure how to explain what I'm talking about....

Not really sure. I'd probably just find something to pop it off with, such as a butter knife or something...you might could use a pair of needle nose pliers to get it..just be sure not to bend it..
