Wow, things hav slowed down around here, i admit it's been a while since I dropped by but there are post on this page for the past month with no activity... Recommend that the mods insist all who post a track answer other posts and comment in turn. I'll do my best to get through the other posts here over the next day or so.

----------------

Anyway, back again with a track some of you may have heard before. I have finally completed the arrangement however this is still a demo. Drums are for keeping time only, trying to get live drums added into the new version which will be tighter and will have all those annoying creases ironed out.

New material included some melodies and harmonies (also sync'd up the samples a bit better) plus everything from 4.30min to the end is new. The solo starting at 5min is deliberately done to sound off before it rolls into an exotic lead that I particularly like because of the syncopated runs and drop-beat style timing, I think it works but if you think it doesnt, please let me know.

Hope you like it, 'Contact':

Tried to listen but Mp3 Unsigned requires a plugin that I can't install on Firefox. Are you able to upload to soundclick or purevolume?

Hey man well done. Not my type of music, as you know, but it's still a great piece of music. Hope to have your skills some day both playing and recording.

Hey Super,
It's summer, everything comes to a crawl in summer. :D

Cool tune, reminds me of Marc Pattison stuff with the TV backing track type of sounds.

Hard to hear you wailing, crank up the lead tracks.
I like guitar intrumental stuff, the guitar needs to be cranked. IMO.

Like you stuff mang.

That was awsome, I especially liked the middle eastern vibe you had going near the beginning.

I love the dark halloween type feel to the begining of unleashed. What type of scale/mode/progression does that follow?

Thanks man, if you were checking 'Unleashed' I have to say I havent a clue what key it's in or what scales I used. I made that one up entirely by ear.
If it's 'Contact' you're talking about (the one at the beginning of the thread & in my sig file), as far as I know I used variations of the Algerian, Harmonic Minor and Id scales. I found them on Dan Kellers website and played them once or twice and they ended up steering the direction of the lead, I'm pretty sure I changed the Id scale to something else but whatever it is it seems to work.
I really know nothing about theory, I just play what comes to mind - if I try thinking about theory it kills my creativity... sorry I can't help much on that front!
