Yep.

esp. when you try shaking your guitar up and Down 10 times and it still doesn't work to get it out.

I once wrote a kinda heavy song in my old garage-band (which I subsequently named Lynch Rope) which had shuffling palm muting on the treble strings especially, that ended up cutting into the side of my palm enough to slice the skin. I ended up having to wear a bandanna around my hand for awhile for that song...but actually, in a twisted kinda way, I liked that it drew blood...made me feel more connected to my guitar y'know. Being that the goal is to put the most emotion and feeling into playing, what's a lil blood too right?

Yeah... blood's more of a metal-type thing in my book. Try taking the guitar, positioning the pick right under the whole, and lobbing it upside down over your head so it falls out. You'll look like an idiot but it usually works. ;)
Don't worry. I shred.

A guy I used to jam with invented something to deal with the pick dropping issue. I have one of the picks somewhere around here too but I can't find it. It's just a pick with a little holed drilled into it and a rubber string clamped to form loops then you can "noose" it on your finger quite comfortably and you'll never drop your pick. He even got it patented and everything but I dunno what ever happened to it. I haven't spoken to him in awhile.

Next time it happens, put your guitar face down on the washing machine during the spin cycle when washing towels (Throw in some gym shoes while you're at it) and Presto............................Out comes the Pick and a little lint as well..

make a small roll of duct tape, stick it to the end of a pencil, shake guitar until pick is visible, pick up pick with pencil.

I've never had trouble getting picks out of my acoustic, but my hollowbody electric is another story. It's got the F-shaped sound holes, so there's really only a very limited area which is large enough for the pick to fall out.

I remember one time my brother threatened to drop my pick in there, and I was like "Go for it, I'll have it out in like 30 seconds." So he did, and then he timed me trying to get it out. It took about 15 minutes.

So now when he threatens to do stuff like that, I just punch him.

Could just be me, and my lack of personal experience could contribute to the potential stupidity of this comment, but a hangover at 3:15 AM

I want a pint so bad right now it's not even funny. And I'm not even from a place that refers to a serving of beer as a 'pint.' That's just how bad I want it.
