ok i know there is a ton of threads askin help with bands, band style, band music, and most classic of all band names, and i have nonetheless continued that tradition but not knowing where to post it since i have seen it in many forums so i chose this on; ok so me my youthpastor(hes really young) and some friends are in this praise and worship/christian rock band, weve been practicin a while and tonight decided we need a good name we thought forever and came up with the messengers, the issaccs so on and so forth but only to discover they were already bands, and plus we have to be selective since im the only girl in the band so if yall have any good ideas of names that aint already a band your suggestions would be appreciated :D so please help me if yall can; and while im at it i have been in search of a good acoustic electric guitar i usually just play my really loud acoustic but since were more serious now and i cant always use my electric i need one so again if yall got any suggestions, and oh i want a black one but a good one that aint very expensive please help ok now that is all :D

"corpse grinder" is a good one, but you might want to think about alternatives, such as xdeathxbeforexdishonorx or blunt force (if you want to go for the "we smoke blunts but we're still down with jesus" image)

ok, in all seriousness, i dont think many people are going to be able to help with a good band name, seeming that no one can even think of a good band name for themselves

just tell them like this: "blunts are a force to be reckoned with; we need to preach the gospel."

that would melt my heart, anyway.

How about Canon. Not only is it used as a musical term, but also as a religious one as well (as being inspired by God). Perhaps you might add something more if you want...like maybe some pun/play on words of the weapon, cannon. I dunno, otherwise next time you're at church or reading through the bible just pay attention to any phrases, themes, and words that pop up.

As for the cheap, but nice (and loud) acoustic, I very much recommend Seagull. My Dad has one and it's a great guitar! I believe GT's own Tonja has one as well if you wanna ask her about it. But yeah, Takamine's are pretty good too.

I always thought "Sucking Chest Wound" would make a nice band name :D
You could try the ole tried and true "Free Beer"
Never make the mistake of naming your band "Closed for Remodeling", it really cuts down on the crowd

Yeah, I always said that if I were ever in a band, (not freakin' likely) I would like to name it 'Tension Pneumothorax' or perhaps 'Closed Head Injury' or my personal favorite 'Psychotic Episodes'.

I did know a guy back in high school who named his garage band 'Johnny Wee and the Bedwetters'. I always thought that was pretty funny.

everybody's gotta have a "something something and the somethings". i played bass for a chaos punk band called "mr cuba and the porn addicts". most carefree project i've ever done, because it was the only band i was ever in where i did abosolutely no songwriting. just some pick basslines and alot of drunkeness.
