All,

I think I should clarify my previous post on this subject. I said that all stereotypes are based in some level of truth, no matter how miniscule. After giving that some thought, I realize that's not true. I think that stereotypes are often-times based in some level of miniscule truth but it would seem that many of them are created on ignorance or misunderstanding. OR someone takes a characteristic of a group or individual and enhances it and makes a large, general statement that attempts to cover an entire race, gender, age...whatever.

So I want to apologize for my original post. I certainly hope I did not offend anyone. That was not my intent and you all know me well enough by now to know that. If I did offend someone, I heartily apologize. I didn't think my response through before posting it and I am sorry about that. :o
