Here's a song that I wrote a while ago...

"Peace" - 5:31, MP3 format (Download)

It's not much, but I like it. I used my stompbox for the recording (hence the really crappy drum machine in the background).

Any suggestions for me to improve on? It get's kinda sloppy at the end of the song, like the guitar is off from the drums and stuff, but yeah... I recorded it a while ago, when I still had XP on this notebook.

Recorded using:
> Gibson Les Paul
> Digitech RP250 Stompbox, on the "COOLCH" effect
> Monster cable
> No Amp
> Through Audacity on Windows XP.

Sounded good. My only suggestion would be to drop the end where it gets sloppy. Loop the best part and put a little lead guitar in there. I really like the mix. Good drums. My friend has the RP350. They are really good units for the money I think.
You mentioned that you did it when you still had xp on your computer. What are you running now? And is it affecting your ability to record? Just curious since you mentioned it.

Thanks for the feedback... I need to edit it to remove the end, I know, but I need to get to it...

Currently I'm running Vista, and what I meant by that was that it's been a while since I had XP on this notebook, that's all.

What would you suggest for a lead part?

Check out my Soundclick (http://www.soundclick.com/alexglasser) for some more music by me. I'm cleaning up everything tomorrow and over the summer.

My suggestion would be try to break out of the "open chord" syndrome......or use an open chord and then play a secondary chord (on another track) that enhances and broadens the chords base sound.

The track is good, but definetly needs a solo, try shredding :)

I thought this was a pretty good tune. I jammed with it yesterday. I bluesed it but you could shred it if that's your style with no problems. Keep up the good work man.
