anyway to slow down the audio(especially terry couch's lessons)
Didn't guitar tricks used to offer this feature?

I don't know if this site used to offer this feature, but you can slow down an .mp3 file with something like Audacity (it's free).

very cool!! but how do you turn on the effects
I imported an mp3 no prob,but everything in the effects window won't work

The stuff in the Effects menu isn't enabled until all or part of the track is selected. If you click on Edit | Select ... | All (or CTRL-A), you will select the entire track.

Need to give credit where credit is due...

I learned about Audacity from this lesson by Scott Evans.

About all I've done with it is change the tempo, but that's real useful for practice.

I downloaded Audacity but cant seem to find out how to playback- when I hit playback the songs is just about a one second bleep- like it is being played at warp speed. I use Mac OSX 10.4
