My Laptop's stuffed up.
Been trying to install windows for like 10 times now.
I think it's cos of bad sectors and ****. Gosh, it's really put me off.
Havent been doing any recording in about 3 weeks.
But now my computer seems to be working ok, by it's own will. Some days it doesnt wanna start, some days its perfectly fine.
Ah well, I'm hoping buy a desktop soon. Gotta wait like about 2 months to save money for it. And by the way, I don't have work now :( how am I gonna save money.
Life's a bitch :o
That's all

I feel your pain. I just got a new laptop with Vista on it.... and nothing works...
I'm going to format its ass and go back to XP. Seriously, my 'phone won't sync, my soundcard won't work, the mixer goes nuts, and half my software won't install....
ARGH! Die Computer.... Die!

Vista is the biggest POS that M$ has ever tried to pawn off on us.
I will go Mac or Linux before I even think about going to Vista!

I'm waiting until later this summer to go to Vista. They should have it patched out pretty good by then, but more importantly all the hardware manufacturer's should have driver support for vista by then.

XP still has some bugs to work out, It will be 10 years before I will ever put Vista on my PC.

I have to disagree about Vista sucking. I bought a new laptop 3 weeks ago. Just about any and all of my 32-bit programs runs like a dream. Now IF you have a Vista laptop running on only 512mb of ram like some stores are selling, then yes. It will run like a 3 legged dog. I upgraded mine to 4 gigs and it is faster than any of my XP machines or laptops. I use it at work now and it runs a homemade telnet program like a charm! Runs Photoshop and even Neuendo without any issues. I even managed to get the Zune mp3 software working on it, well after a few tweaks and patches that is. I would have waited on Vista for at least the first service pack to be released but I couldnt wait that long.......But I do seem to remember how much problems XP had upon initial release as well. And believe me, the Vista beta version is nothing like the new releases!

I have a copy of Vista I'm going to install after I partition my 2nd hdd so I can dual boot Xp or Vista. I hear a lot about campatibility issues and such, and it being just plain buggy. I'll give em some time to perfect and polish it before I make the big switch, especially some time for companies to make compatible software. I just hope its not another Windows 2000 or Me, I had both before xp came out and switched back to 98.

I have no intention to switch to Vista, like PRSplaya said, I'd rather go to Mac OS or Linux.
I think Vista is just a waste of space really, Windows XP works fine for me, but I just have some problems with my Hard disk at the moment.
You know what really weird happend? My E:\ drive partition has changed to C:\ drive.
All my data was saved on E drive. When I went to format and installed windows, E drive changed to C drive, and now my Boot drive is D drive
I did not change any settings, it just changed itself. I'm not a newbie to computers and I know what I'm doing, but this, I've never ever heard of before

I'm still running Win2k at home. It does the job, it isn't loaded down with bloatware like Office 2003, and I see no need to 'upgrade' at all.

I use Mac and never had any trouble with them, is a matter of taste or habits, but I have to say I use big macs (not the burgers, Macs made for design wich are pretty powerfull) so I think a big PC shouldn't make any problems but bottom line... once you go Mac... there is no back. :D
Power corrupts. Absolute power is kinda neat.

Macs are great, but I wish they'd have stuck with the OS9 operating system.
OSX is too much like Windows and some of the best Mac features have been eliminated to make it easier to use for newbies.
I can still go back to my old 1997 G3 and it outperforms both WindowsXP and OSX
