I'd say, Being a Yankees fan because of your dad is a good reason, I still hate the Yankees, but I like the Twins because that's my dads team. :p

My dad and the twins are the same age too, which I've always thought was weird.. both born in 1959, and he's been a twins fan since he was a little kid, so have I though.. Their not really a bad team, no one seems to give them their credit. Twins are currently sitting in 1st place too, 10Ws-5Ls. WAHOO!

Everyone is always making fun of the Yankees, and saying they hate them, which I admit to doing quite frequently, but I actually like them due to some small reasons. They do have the most highly paid team in all of baseball, and that would make you assume that they would win the world series just about every year. So I think that it just makes it all the better when they lose! :D

oh yeah. Sox vs. Yankees tonight. We'll just have to see who comes out on top.

Apparently not good enough, being they haven't got a World Series since he's been there. Shows you what a high standard that team is really on, that its sad that they haven't won it all for 7 whole years. My Mets are going on the 21st year since they've bagged one. Though this year may be different...They're looking very solid. But its April, so thats crazy talk at this point.

On a side note, I probably have more respect for the Twins than any other team in the majors. Year after year they compete, either in the post-season or for a spot in the playoffs with such a low payroll. They've got some very good farm systems and great scouts obviously, because thats the only way they are able to compete. I've got a lot of respect for homegrown talent.

The Minnesota Twins are the single most consistantly underrated team in baseball...

It's not that he's horrible in the post season... he's just horrible in clutch situations in the post season.

Hahahaha. He's been coming around as of lately. 2 walk off hr's already. Gotta respect that anyways. I hate the guy. I think hes a pompous douche. That being said, when hes on his A game, there ain't many others better than him. I love to see him choke though. I don't even hate the Yankees so much anymore. Its A Rod himself. I respect the rest of the team.

Of course, looking past A Rod's clutch moments in April, we'll see if he ever puts it together in October. He could turn out to be the next Dave Winfield and labeled "Mr. May."

He should only have to look at Arods stats so far this season to relieve some of that fumigation... haha. The guy is unconcious so far this year... 10 homeruns in 14 games is pretty insane... at any level of baseball.

Twins are always underrated, Last year they won I think 94 games, or around that, which was only a few games behind the yankees who I think won the most games. Doesn't make sense...

Yankees almost sweep the Twins couple weeks ago, they won 2 games I think.. It'll be differnt next time. :p

As much as I hate A-Rod, I'm not gonna lie. If he keeps playing at the pace he is right now, the Yanks might just be the team to beat. I dunno if he "will" keep it going, but if you haven't noticed.....10 home runs, inclduing 2 walk off home runs I believe, and they've played like 13 games so far. He leads the MLB in HR's, has like 30 RBI's, has scored 17 times, and has a slugging average of about .965. Not too shabby if you ask me. I just watched ESPN, so I'm really not a baseball wiz as it may seem. :D

The Yankee's pitching isn't gonna hold out. The bats will have to carry them down the stretch. We'll see I suppose.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm not a big baseball fan so don't chew me up here guys. I'm a Mets fan. Use to be (many years ago) a Yankees fan. I live 60 miles from NY city so these are my home teams. The way I see it you can't blame the Yankees players or the team. If you hate them because of there high priced players blame George. He is a butthole but a good business man (just like Trump). A-Rod shows some great potential this year and Jetter who has been awesome for many years for the team has how many errors so far? All players go through rough times. Nobody can bring their A game 24/7. Not even for millions of dollars. Bottom line I think the Yankees players take a lot of heat just because of the high prices the Yankees dish out to have what they feel is the best. Is this the players fault. If you where offered some crazy #'s to do your job would you say no thanks I rather work for much less in a company that really doesn't offer any opportunity to grow. Keep in mind Baseball is a business to the owners and a job to the players. Nothing more or less.

Truthfully, I'm not much of a fan of baseball. However...being that I got rid of cable, I watched an Astros game, their 2nd game of the season. Got me interested a little, and I've listened to a few more on the radio and kept up with scores. They got a lil streak going now to make up for their slow start.
