Having watched the (IMO excessive) coverage of this on the BBC, I can't help but think that the more coverage they give the event and the distasteful 'record', the more likely it is to re-occur, and to be 'bettered'.
The little **** got the recognition in death that he never received in life. They're still referring to him as a 'resident alien' or 'asian' as well... which doesn't seem relevant...

He was found with the words "Ismael Ax" written in red ink on an arm, the Post reported law enforcement sources as saying. It was unclear what the words meant.
Neighbours, roommates and teachers described Cho as a withdrawn person who rarely spoke. Two students who said they were Cho's roommates said he had harassed several female students and once told them he wanted to kill himself, which prompted the roommates to report their concerns to the police.

I can't describe how I feel about this... this is just horrible. I can only imagine how the families and friends of the victms feel right now, God bless them.
Like you said, Equator, it's probably not helpful to talk about religious persuasions in this - he shot those people because he had a psychotic condition, not because he was a Muslim or whatever - but nonetheless, that's probably exactly what the media and politicians will do :(.

Go check the news. He mailed a multi-media package to NBC between killings. Videos and an 1800 word manifesto. This kid was gone. Totally gone. :(

I heard he wrote some story about molestation from a first-person perspective. Even though he had never been molested, it was apparently so disturbing he was sent to counselling.

All I know is that when I arrived at my homepage, I was greeted by a nice picture of him. He wasn't looking too happy.... Not something I want to be seeing too much more of.

So saddening. It all makes me absolutely sick. I feel so much for the families of the victims.
Tonight they were showing all of the killer's video clips he sent to NBC. What a sicko that guy was. Blaming everybody but himself for his issues. That's what I can't stand, he blames other people for what he did. What a selfish coward.
So much anger and sadness with this stuff. I just pray that God will help mend the hurt with the families left behind.
