I've gotta thrash band, and we don't really have a fashion statement. Anyone have any suggestions or wanna show off their look?

I'll pass on offering any advice on a 'look' of any kind. Unless, of course, you want to look like a middle-aged bald guy with racoon eyes, a permanent snarl, a weird twitch that makes you look like you're shaking your head all the time and stand about 5 foot eight inches tall with arms that were made for someone who stands about 6 foot 4 inches tall (vaguely ape like in appearance). The visage is one that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

If that's what you're looking for, I'm your man. If not, allow one of these other fine folks help you out. :(

okay, go for an opposite approach.

dress like a total ska kid, with checkers and golf clothes on.

...they'll never see it coming.

Your image should be the least of your worries either way... Worry about sounding good first. Not that you don't sound good... I'm just tired of seeing these punk bands that wear all these vintage designer t-shirts and 200 dollar jeans and put 50 dollars worth of product in their hair... then they can't even play a power chord that sounds decent... Just concentrate on the sound and be yourself. The image will fall into place. Being comfortable on stage is pretty important to me and I'm not about to compromise that by wearing something that's going to crowd my man places...... I stick with clothes that I wear any other time.

Just promise me you won't wear girl jeans, die your hair any obscene colors, or wear makeup...

That's just me though... I'm pretty simple when it comes to that stuff.

Suits.

But not really.

I agree with everyone else pretty much that clothes don't really matter. Gimmicks are the worst most of the time.

Amen.... I've had to throw on a suit for gigs back in the day, but now... jeans and a t-shirt (until about half way through the night, when the shirt comes off).... that's all you need....

I painted myself silver once for a Steve Vai tribute.... but no-one got it... :o

Or... you go full on spandex for a laugh...

Yep... spandex pants, a snakeskin t-shirt and multicolored socks.
Can't go wrong with that.

Definition of music from dictionary.com:

an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.

Keep the emphasis on sound. Image means nothing if you can rock.
Let your soul shine. Its better than sunshine. Its better than moonshine. Damn sure better than rain.

Hell ya.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
