No Doubt pulled this one off. Be original. 'course if you look like Gwen and have an ass like hers' by all means go for this look. LOL

As the others have said, visual image is a pretty minor consideration, but it's still worth considering, if only briefly.

Like Rockonn and Holly said, you could lull them into a false sense of security by dressing in suits, as ska kids or in the full-on rap-star attire - just don't wear black hoodies and cargos, or people will think you're Limp Bizkit .

But whatever you do, don't agonise over fitting in with the market thrash metal image, or try too hard to look like one of your favourite bands; just do what feels natural.

- Attributed variously to Leadbelly and Louis Armstrong

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

I personally don't get the whole "image" thing when it comes to musicians... if your music is good, what does the rest matter.

Just wear what you feel the most comfortable in. That's how most trends are started anyways, an artist will wear something that they like personally and everyone else wants to be like them, so they wear similar styles...

Plus if your music is good enough to get signed... I'm sure there will be lots of executives who will have plenty of marketing suggestions.
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.

I dunno what you should wear, but just remember, it's not thrash unless at least one member has a mullet...look at Metallica, James lost the mullet, the band became crap...does anyone else see a connection here?

i dont get bands with a fashion statement to make as well..its like..if thats the case, why be discreet? why not go to the extreme with a tutu or something...im content with a polo shirt and jeans...possibly a haircut sometime soon too..bah
