I got cold feet and removed the link this morning because I knew that this is so simple compared to the other stuff on here. I have only been playing about 18 months. Anyway I decided to add the link back. Maybe some other newbies like me will post some music. All of the other posts on here are so good I can only hope I will be half as good in a couple more years. I did this on Cool Edit Pro. I started learning how to use that program about 2 weeks ago. It has been alot of fun. But now I am stuck in a rut. Basically I do not have the skill level at this point to make it better. So its back to playing scales.
I do have to say that I thought I was getting real good because i could play some other peoples songs really well. But when I went on this little journey I realized there is a big difference between copying someone and trying to make your own original. The melody and the solo are original so I guess thats something... Any advice would be appreciated. I have already been told I might want to consider a different instrument so that has already been covered. :)

That's sound ok for someone playing only 18 months.

You shouldn't put yourself down. This is a great first track man.

Keep it up man.

Hey man, I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but I will later after my friends leave and the movie I'm watching is over. Just wanted to say, if you have any questions with Cool Edit Pro, I've got some knowledge on it and have people I can ask if I can't answer it.

Also remember, technical abilities mean nothing if you can't put feeling behind it. Any average Joe can shred a fretboard mindlessly with enough practice and knowledge, but not everyone can compose and put their soul into it. Remember that. Keep rockin and recording.

OK, just had a chance to give a listen. Your sound quality is already better than my own. My mic and equipment basically suck on all accounts so I blame it on that...I can still offer advice wherever needed though regarding CEP.

Good job on the song. More complex progressions and solos will come. I think you did well, especially only playing for a year and a half. Good job, keep playin.
Let your soul shine. Its better than sunshine. Its better than moonshine. Damn sure better than rain.

Nice first song dude.

I started out on cool edit pro a few years ago too dude and I used it until recently when I got hold of Adobe Audition which is literally the same program. So if you have any problems with it don't hesitate to ask me.

Thanks everyone....That was way more support than I had hoped for. This website is great at helping me get my guitar fix. I am so ate up on the guitar it is not even funny. My friends and family just roll their eyes anymore when I start blabbing about the guitar. I might have a few questions in the future. Thanks again. You guys made my day!!!! :D

All you will get here is support. That I can assure you. It really was a good first shot man. The thing to remember is no one starts out a pro. It does take alot of work. As long as you're up to it there's no stopping you buddy. :)

I have to agree with everyone else's comments. Very good 1st songage :D
I think your timing is very very good. IMO many beginners have alot of problems in this area. The fact that you don't, bodes well for your future.

Keep picking
