The top two on the list.

My friend stopped by and we came up with this little ditty. He hasn't put down any lyrics yet but I think he has the melody. Anyway, the one with lead I don't think is set in stone. I may change the lead bits to suit his singing. I just wanted to do both to give him an idea of what I'm thinking. Let me know if there is something I can do better. Thanks guys. :)

Hey Magicninja,

That was a nice chord progression. Love the sound of the guitar. The lead tone sounds nice and fat. (Gibson Les Paul by any chance?)

The drums didn't sound too good though, and it seemed as if the beat was coming in just a few millisecs after the guitar.

I reckon maybe you could put in some bass note runs between chords to make it sound more interesting, if you know what I mean? :confused:

Anyhow, it seems good, can't wait to here it with lyrics mate

Yeah it was a Gibson LP. The off time is probably just me anticipating. It really isn't much. I'll fix it when my friend comes by to record his bit.

I fiddled with the drums a little tell me if it's any better.

All I use is My LP>Direct to my PC>Waves C4 Compressor>Amplitube with the Overscream Pedal with the knobs all Dimed in front of a Marshall Sim with the gain around 5 >Waves Rverb Big Warm Plate Preset at about 35

The drums are better. The song needs more to it I think. A chorus or something to break it up. It gets to repetitive. Maybe even change up the strumming pattern just a bit to give it a less repetitive feel. You might even try picking the chords some times and strumming them others.

Just my 2 cents and with inflation it's really not worth much.

Ok I updated the two tracks. I put a little more life in the bassline and changed up the rythm tones a little.

I think it's better. You know it might be best waiting to see if changes will be needed to accommodate the lyrics.

That's it. It's like you've added some magic to this track magicninja :)

It sounds much more lively, and the timing is better too, and nice note choices on your lead.

I didn't get a chance to hear your track before, so I don't know how it sounded before the changes. But, all I can say is; nice job Marcos. That song sounds pretty cool.
Someday I`ll play like in my dreams.

Man that is a cool track. The guitars sound great. I don't care for the hi hat much but I think it's because is sits out front on the track. Just turn that hat down a bit and maybe bump up the snare a hare and wham....bam...thank you..uh...sir. :cool:

That sounds good man! I like the change at 2:00 then ten seconds later the lead busts in and smacks you in da face. Sweet bro...... :cool:
