i bought a fender acoustic 'el cheapie thing ' for like 200 bucks new ... put xl electric strings on it .. and it was pretty decent , i now have a takamine (100 bucks used) with the built in eq and pickup in the bridge, setup the same way , it sounds ehh ok on its own , but plugged in .. t has a very nice tone
