Best Still shot that I could get from the video off youtube.....

Doesn't look anything like the wireless guitar hero controller though...

OMG finally thats the guitar up there in that picture thats exactly it thats the best picture of it ive seen but yeah thats exactly it and the guitar thats wireless is for the PS2 not the xbox which is the explorer and the redoctane guitar is made by redoctane so it has to be a epiphone or gibson somthing

Judging by the head stock and what appears to be shark fin inlays I am going to say that it is not an epiphone or gibson, at least not like one I have ever seen. That wireless controller is definitely not based on that guitar so, it could be a Ibanez, or a Yamaha like what other people have said. I don't know if Yamaha makes guitars with those inlays though. I am not an expert on guitars or anything.

Just my 2 cents.

Actually looking at the head stock again I am going to go with a Yamaha. Look through their site they have a lot of body styles very similar to that one in fact I have seen yamahas that could be that same one, just with different pick guards.

Sorry to say man... I think the small similarities are coincidental... I highly doubt that they based this controller off any vintage guitar that isn't a Gibson or Epiphone... The only Epiphone I've ever seen that even comes close to that is a Crestwood... and it's not even close to that...

Either way, I don't think that the controller is based off that guitar. I think it's just a random guitar design that bares a small resemblence to a vintage guitar like the one above... The JET KING doesn't really look like it after I put them side by side... I still think it's some old Yamaha.... maybe an old Gretsch... who knows... I've invested too much time in this, I just realized that I don't even care.

The closest I could give you would be:

It's a Fender Jaguar with the corner near the trem bar hacked off. It's had a Brian Moore neck fitted, explaining the headstock. It also looks a little like a Fender 'Jagstang' in my minds eye. The back end also looks a little like a Fernandes Ravelle....

Like Aschleman said, it's probably a mash of loads of 'em so the company who make it can avoid infringing any copyrights and/or paying any company to license a known product.

who cares where he got it. what kind fo guitar is it? i'd be very interested in knowing what kind of Epi it is.

Edit: Nevermind...

http://www.provide.net/~cfh/epiphon2.html#crest

I named it correctly earlier in this but didn't realize it... I said earlier that the only Epi that looked even close to it was an Epi Crestwood..... well.... it IS an Epi Crestwood... but it's an Epi Crestwood Custom... I'd never seen a custom before... but my friend had a regular Crestwood which is quite different.

You can quite possibly use one of the internets MANY search engines... I hear they work quite well...........

Not a very common guitar, I can't imagine 1. you'll be able to find one to try out... 2. you'll be able to afford it even if you did.

As far as a knock version... Look into the First Act guitars or something. Not a lot of copies are made of obscure guitars like those because they're not very easy to mass market... Since they appeal to a very niche group of buyers... That's why Strat and Les Paul knock offs are most common... Do some internet searching... the internet is a marvelous thing.

The only way we would find a place for you to see or try one is searching the net, so why would we do that when you can yourself? Thats all aschelman was trying to say.

Haha... did you seriously just call me an abreviated form of "douche bag"... wow.

I WOULD take your thanks... except for the fact that you never even offered it... All you have offered was:

"no that's not it"

"no i'm pretty sure it's (this) not (that)"

"no it doesn't look anything like that"

It gets pretty frustrating when I sit here wasting 5 minutes out of my day using a public access search engine to find something that really wasn't that hard to find at all. We have a lot of answers here on this site and everyone is very willing to help out... but seriously dude. Don't be a lazy ass...... And I'd advise removing "D-Bag" from your vocabulary on this board especially when you're using it towards another member...

next time you have a question, take the answers... say thanks... and leave it at that. Don't be lazy. I have the same access to the internet as you and it's not any harder for you to use. That's all I'm saying.

Oh....... and you're welcome.

Sincerly,
You're personal Internet Shopper

children, you stop arguiing right onw, or i'll turn this car around! I'm not joking, I've had enough! hehe

I dont know where he got it, I think he bought it second hand from a private seller.
It wasn't too expensive to the best of my knowledge...he got it as his first guitar. as for where you can buy one, I think your best bet would be either E bay, or through a pawn shop or similar. I cant tell you how much it'll cost, but I dont think it'll be as expensive as most guitars it's age.

Good luck man

Yeah. My friend had a regular Crestwood and it was only worth 300 bucks or so... I'd imagine that the Customs are quite a bit more rare... but still wouldn't expect them to be much more than 500 bucks or so... IF you can find one. I have never seen one besides the one in the pictures that I found.
