Nice one man.... yeah... I remember the first time I jammed with a band. It's so cool just vibing off other musicians and putting something together.
If you play with another guitarist and trade licks in a solo or whatever you can really expand your playing as well....

I'm jealous, man, sounds great! British rock'n'roll, eh? Did you have a nice big Marshall or Laney on hand to make it extra-British? :D

Cool man, it's almost always fun to jam with others.
After getting down the basics, I think jamming with others is essential for progressing, especially creatively. Back in my garage band days practicing at least 3 times a week for hours at a time, I prolly wrote around 30+ songs within a year. Since then, I haven't come up with that much new stuff in the last 5 years combined, even though I can definitely play things now I couldn't then.

I was lucky, I got into a band right from the starting gate. We all sucked equally so it didn't matter. Still learned a heap. Humm that was 1976

Me too. It was the first time I'd heard music that loud. It was also the first time id seen people smoke pot. :) I was afraid that the neigbors would complain and the cops would show up the whole time.
Wow...I've gotten alot more zen about it all.
Congrats Josh...to bad you couldnt stick with the group.
