Cool man, it's almost always fun to jam with others.
After getting down the basics, I think jamming with others is essential for progressing, especially creatively. Back in my garage band days practicing at least 3 times a week for hours at a time, I prolly wrote around 30+ songs within a year. Since then, I haven't come up with that much new stuff in the last 5 years combined, even though I can definitely play things now I couldn't then.
