i use a fish n chips....$30, does the job....7 bands. you may want to look at mxr 10 band..stay away from boss...i think anything more than 10 bands is just plain anal retentive

I have an MXR-108 10 band EQ with 12 faders, (volume, gain, and the 10 bands of eq) its built like a firetruck and it sounds amazing the extra bands help you shape your tone like nobody's business

I got it for 130$ canadian new

let us know what you end up doing

I've got the 6-band MXR EQ, and love it. However, I would suggest the 10-band MXR EQ since it has the volume controls. The 6-band doesn't, and can overdrive your amp and boost your volume (depending on your settings). Ideally, I would suggest a 6-band in front of your amp, and the 10-band in your amps effects loop. Your tone options are pretty much endless then

I'll second that. Bloody dreadful bit of kit.

The worst thing about it was that it was nearly indestructible.

Nearly !

the hold time has increased and their is more stereo stuff as well as an extra input so you can input stereo as well as output stereo.

In terms of sound it is very similar to the DD3 (or what I remember of it !!). I seem to remember the DD5 sounding very "digital" in comparison
